Obituary
Lynn Anne Johnson, 71, of North Fort Myers, Florida, courageously lost her battle to Glioblastoma Multiforme peacefully in her home on September 24th, 2021 surrounded by friends and family.
She was born to parents James and Fern (Kreutzian) Peterson, on December 30th, 1949 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from Minneapolis North High School in 1967. She later went on to study Nursing at Normandale Community College and graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing.
Lynn fell in love with nursing and caring for others, which led to a career that spanned over 35 years. She was universally respected in her field and climbed the ranks to be a Director of Nursing overseeing care in several facilities throughout the years in the State of Minnesota.
Lynn met Wesley Johnson in 1971. Their first date was at a Minnesota North Stars game and was the beginning of a long mutual love of Minnesota sports. They were married on September 30th, 1972 in Hopkins, Minnesota. Together they raised 3 children: Kristina Johnson (46), Kent Johnson (43), and Kelly (Johnson) Weible (38). She was a proud grandma to one grandchild, Michael Weible (6). Being a grandma was her most treasured role in life. The hole left by her absence will be impossible to fill.
Lynn was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Fern. She is survived by her husband, Wes; her three children, Kristina, Kent (Melissa), and Kelly (Jason), her grandchild, Michael; her two brothers, Mark (Judy) Peterson, and Ward (Erika) Peterson, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by and greeted over the Rainbow Bridge by several family pets that she loved over the years – Moxie, Teddy, Cuddles, Sammy, Dusty, Smokey, and Sassy.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Lynn will be held on Thursday, October 14th from 2 pm to 4 pm at Baldwin Brother’s Funeral Home at 290 Nicholas Pkwy NY, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Musella Foundation for Brain Tumor Research Brain Tumor Treatments and Information (virtualtrials.org) or the Glioblastoma Foundation https://glioblastomafoundation.org in Lynn’s memory to help fund further research to find a cure for Glioblastoma.

My heart goes out to you today & always. Your wife, mother & grandmother was an awesome friend, incredible Director of Nursing with the biggest caring heart & compassion for the geriatric clients we served together at The Legends of Heritage Place in Sartell, MN. I will always remember Lynn with love. I wish I could be there in Florida with you today, but I will be with you on Zoom. Prayers for each of you. God bless.
For all that we Love deeply… will always become part of us.
A good time for reflection and grateful feelings for all Lynn and I brought each other, all the friendship and love.
Always had fun with her. I will miss her.
