Obituary
Madeline Marafioti passed away on November 28, 2019 surrounded by her family at her home in The Villages, FL. She was 82 years old.
She was born November 24, 1937 and lived in Montrose NY prior to moving to The Villages in 2004.
She enjoyed playing Mah Jongg with her many friends. She was a parishioner of St Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church and was a regular supporter of St. Theresa’s Soup Kitchen/Food Pantry and an outstanding supporter of St Jude Children’s Hospital.
Mrs. Marafioti is survived by her husband of 62 years, Salvatore, her children Patricia Brom, Salvatore Jr and his wife Wendy and two grandchildren, Victoria Marafioti and Grace Brom, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by five sisters, Gloria Martone of The Villages, Phyllis Powers of Jacksonville, FL, Emelia DiGiacomo of Greensboro NC, Ann Pacheco of Somers, NY, and Jean Matturro of Danbury CT. Her sister Catherine Carbone of Verplanck, NY predeceased her in 2015.
A funeral mass will be held at St Mark Catholic church in the Villages. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Marafioti requested donations be made to St Theresa’s Soup Kitchen/Food Pantry located at 11528 SE Hwy 301 Belleview FL 34420 or by calling 352-245-1359.
