Obituary
Maisie Ruth Roder went peacefully to her heavenly home surrounded by family, friends, and pets on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, aged 87 at her home in Belle Isle, Florida.
Ruth was born November 10, 1930 in Patterson, Louisiana. She is survived by her loving spouse, Captain Anne Gray, PHSCC ret.; brother-in-law Robert Gray (Christie); nieces and nephews, Dianne (Roder) Ball, Sandra (Roder) Ewell, Pamela (Roder) Marek, Debra (Roder) Clark, Ernest Downing Roder, Jr., Charles Hubert Roder, Jr., James Gray (Diane), Elizabeth Gray (Michael) and Catherine Gray (Pedro), Amelia Drury, and Taleen Stroud (Michael); as well as great, great nieces, nephews and many close friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernst and Euberta Roder; brothers, Ernest Downing Roder (Cap) and Charles Hubert Roder (Charlie); sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Roder (Jo) and Juanita Roder (Nita); brothers-in-law, Henry Gray (Joan), Lt. Colonel Russel W. Gray Jr. USAF ret. (Louisa).
After graduating from Tulane University, Ruth was a practicing RN, ARNP for over 50 years. She was an avid gardener, bowler and phenomenal cook. There will be a huge void in this world without this wonderful lady.
Maisie Ruth Roder will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 24th, 2018 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 4545 Anderson Road, Orlando, FL 32812.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
