Malcolm A. Chace, 89, of Summerfield, FL passed away August 27, 2018. He was born in Fall River Massachusetts and was a paratrooper during the Korean War. He was self employed in auto body repairs for many years. He divorced and lived in Belleview for 15 years, then moved to Summerfield in 1999. Malcolm was a member of Nascar since 1948, he also raced modifieds in New England from 1950-1954. His love of racing and Nascar was very evident and interesting. A very intelligent, sweet, charming and humorous man, Malcolm was extremely well informed of the many events and people that occurred through the many Nascar years. His amount of knowledge was astounding! Funeral arrangements will be handled by Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home. It was Malcolm’s request to have his ashes dispersed in the ocean near the Daytona Beach area. A simple unbounded return to earth. Donations May be sent to any Cystic Fibrosis foundation in his sons name, David A. Chace who proceeded him in death in 1970.
