Marc Hastings Danforth peacefully passed away on October 21, 2020 following an extended illness. Marc was born in Orlando, Florida on March 9, 1936 to Harold Potter Danforth, Sr. and Thelma Spurling Hayes. He graduated from Edgewater High School and University of Florida, and proudly served his country in the Army Reserve. Marc is survived by his loving wife of nearly 53 years, Patricia “Patty” Bond. Together, they owned Danforth Sound, which allowed Marc to enjoy his passion for music through many installations in various houses of worship and other facilities.
Marc and Patty had two children: Kevin and Sarah. He will be forever cherished by Kevin and Jeri Danforth, Sarah and Jimmie May, three grandchildren: Jesse, Maddie, and Caleb and one great grandchild, Macailey. Marc is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Harold Potter, Jr. “Danny” and is survived by his brother Michael Bruce Danforth, Sr. and wife Stephanie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marc loved to travel, enjoyed sailing, playing the piano, and spending time with family. He was a loving husband , father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
