Obituary

Marc A St. Martin, 69, of Cape Coral, Florida has gone to meet his heavenly Father.  Marc passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, September 6, 2021 with his beloved bride,  Annie, and children, Katherine and James by his side.

Marc was born and raised in Lincoln, Rhode Island before relocating to sunny Ft. Myers, Florida in 1991 to enjoy more days on the links. Marc was “one the greatest golfers in Rhode Island history” as written in the Providence Journal.  The St. Martin family home was located on the prestigious Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island, where Marc’s love for golf began at the age of four.  The extraordinary golfer made his mark on the Rhode Island golf scene, garnering titles as a 3-time Rhode Island State Amateur Champion, 11-time Kirkbrae Country Country Club Champion, and in 1990, he took the Rhode Island Open Championship, the last amateur to have accomplished this; there have only been 3 players in history to do so.  In 2009, Marc was inducted into the Rhode Island Golf Hall of Fame, hosted by Kirkbrae Country Club.  Marc was awarded, by unanimous vote, an honorary, lifetime membership to his home away from home, Kirkbrae Country Club.  In addition, Marc was awarded Southwest Florida Man of the Year and South Florida Player of the Year.

Marc was a broker/co-owner of United Real Estate Infinity of Ft. Myers, Florida.  Marc’s larger than life personality paired well with business partner, Glynis Summers Dekle, in their growing real estate business. Together they provided a trust-worthy, reliable and exciting environment for their agents and customers.

Marc was a devout catholic and member of Faith and Ale, Men’s Gospel Forum, and Knights of Columbus.  All things he was proud to be a part of, and afforded him a place to share his belief in his Lord and Saviour.

Marc is survived by wife, Annie St. Martin, daughter, Katherine Peloquin and son in law Michael Peloquin, son, James St, Martin and daughter in law Amanda St. Martin, mother Muriel St. Martin, sister Christine King and brother in law James King, brother Paul St. Martin and sister in law Judy St. Martin, brother John St. Martin and sister in law Andrea St. Martin, brother Michael St. Martin and sister in law Pauline St. Martin, brother Peter St. Martin and sister in law Susan St. Martin, granddaughter Victoria Peloquin, grandson Tyler St. Martin, grandson Marc St. Martin, sister in law Patricia Smith and brother in law Michael Smith, brother in law George O’Reilly and sister in law Robin O’ Reilly, brother in law Kevin O’Reilly, brother in law Mark O’Reilly and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
