Obituary

Marcella “Marcy” Krambeck (née Staniland) died peacefully in Braden River Rehabilitation Center on January 15, 2022 in Bradenton, FL at the age of 77.

Marcy is survived by her husband, Robert, of Lakewood Ranch, FL; her daughters and sons-in-law, Kristine and Mark Ware of Milton, GA, and Kimberly and William Scott of Weston, FL; her grandsons, Kevin Scott, Kyle Scott, Nathaniel Ware and Noah Ware; and her sister, Patricia Garen, of The Villages, FL. Marcy also had many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and special friends.

Marcy was born on August 8, 1944 in Sewickley, PA, to Margaret and John Staniland. She graduated from Slippery Rock State College in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She married Robert Krambeck, an electrical engineer, in 1968. She loved children, working as a second-grade teacher, and later serving as a troop leader and Community Director for the Washington Rock Girl Scout Council in New Jersey.

Much of her time raising her family was spent in South Plainfield and Warren, NJ, and Orefield, PA. She loved spending time with family and friends enjoying dinner parties, playing bridge, and the outdoors. She also loved experiencing other cultures, leading her to travel to 80 countries.

Marcy was committed to helping others, volunteering her time at many different organizations throughout the years. After raising their daughters, Marcy and her husband lived in San Jose, CA, where they would retire. Soon after they embarked on a 2 ½ year sailing adventure taking them from San Francisco Bay to the Gulf of Mexico. They spent most of the last 20 years traveling extensively and enjoying life in the Lakewood Ranch community.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for February 12, 2022 at 11:00 am at Harvest United Methodist Church, 14305 Covenant Way, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202 with a reception to follow.
