Obituary

Marcia Ann Neil, 65, Summerfield, Florida

Marcia Ann Neil, formerly Marcia Ann Kruczkowski, 65, of Summerfield, Florida formerly of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, died peacefully on January 29, 2021. Although Marcia has left the physical world, her radiant passion for life and her exuberant love for her friends and family will be forever with us.

Marcia leaves behind her husband, Clifford R Neil of Summerfield, FL, her daughter and son-in-law, Alyssa and Christopher Brouse of Audubon, PA, her sisters Rosemary Kruczkowski and Jane Moser and her brother Leo Kruczkowski III, all of Pittsfield, MA, as well as her two grandchildren Jonathon Prugel of Pottstown, PA and Jazmyn Rice of Worthington, MA. She also had many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Paul Kruczkowski and Alice Lingoski, her daughter Allison Neil, and her sister Mary Kruczkowski.

Marcia was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and resided there her entire life until she retired from her long career at General Dynamics Mission Systems and relocated to Summerfield, Florida in 2017 with her husband, Clifford. Marcia always made a point to stand up against injustices and was a prominent figure at Taconic High School for fighting for gender equality, specifically for school uniforms. After graduating high school, Marcia started studying at Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield but was presented with an offer to work at General Electric with her father. She stayed with General Electric, which eventually transitioned to become General Dynamics, for 35 years. Marcia was very proud of her employment there and fought hard as a Union President of Local 254 IUE to protect the rights of her colleagues.

When Marcia wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling in her younger years, and engaging in arts and crafts. Marcia loved the warm weather in Florida that she was able to relish in after retirement, and enjoyed frequenting the thrift stores in the area as well as attending church regularly. She will be missed by many in her former community in Massachusetts as well as her most recent community in Florida.

FUNERAL SERVICE: There will be no service held at this time. A celebration of Marcia’s life and a memorial mass will be held when there are safe health conditions to gather.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to care.org for gender equality, or the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
