Obituary

Margarette Elizabeth Satterfield, 90, of Port Orange, Florida went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2021, at Halifax Health Hospice, Port Orange, Florida.  Mrs. Satterfield was born October 30, 1930, in Chatsworth, GA, to the late David Alexander Gregory and Ruth Valentine Gregory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Price Edward Satterfield, brother David Gregory, brother Joe Gregory, and grandson Jameson Byrd. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Stemerman, her daughter and son-in-law Mari and Matthew Gaunt, her son Greg Satterfield, her daughter and son-in-law Jane and Todd Clark, grandsons Charles Byrd, Wesley Gaunt, Tucker Clark, Ethan Clark, great grandson Joshua Gaunt, and her sister Carolyn Gore.

Margarette was a devoted wife and mother. She and her husband Ed loved serving in their church, the North Carolina Mountains, spending time with their grandchildren, and traveling the world.  She was an educator at Warner Christian Academy and had a positive influence on the lives of many children throughout her life.  Margarette loved the Lord and after a period of declining health is now at peace with her beloved Ed.
