Margie Faulkner Elliott, 93, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away July 5,2015 at home with family at her side. Born June 4th, 1922 in Wadesboro North Carolina, she is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Bill; sister Fancy Voss(Ray); children Jim Upp (Kim), Julie West (Steve), Diane Foxx (Kenny), Kathryn Neuberger(Rick), Carol Pate(James), Karen Elliott, and Carla Sue Wilson(Woody). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren who were near and dear to her heart. Margie was the epitome of southern grace and charm, beautiful inside and out. Known as a princess, her children promoted her to Queen at the age of 90 and she reigned until her passing. She was generous and nurturing; if all 7 children brought a friend home for supper, she would gladly set 7 more plates at the table and make her loaves and fishes feed a larger crowd. A woman of strong faith, she took her children to church each time the doors were open and taught them even greater lessons by setting the example to live as God sees fit. She recently yearned to go "home," anxious to reunite with her own Mama, Daddy and siblings who proceeded her in death. She has gotten her wish and is at last at peace. We hold her close in our hearts. Her beauty will forever come down and through all who knew her and remain. The local Dairy Queen for sure shares in the mourning of Margie's passing, as she has been instrumental in keeping them afloat, especially in these latter days. Her passing may signal their own certain demise.
Life Celebration will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 10 at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach FL.
Memorial donations are requested to VITAS Hospice or the charity of your choice.
