Ziegler, Maria F. (Marie), 94 of Orlando, passed away peacefully at her home after a long illness. She was born of the late Reverend John Fuhrman and Maria Fuhrman on July 16, 1919 in Orenburger, Russia. She was 6th of 11 and the first girl. The family immigrated to Saskatchewan, Canada on Maria's birthday in 1929. The family eventually settled in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, Canada, near Buffalo, NY. Maria married Richard Zeigler in 1942, who passed in 1984. She became an American citizen on July 17, 1945. In addition to her parents:6 brothers (John, Peter, Henry, Fred, Albert and Helmuith) and 2 sisters (Elsie &
Ruth), who predeceased her. Survivors include LaLonnie & Dan Pratt of Apalachin, NY; Sally Emmett & Rusty Smith of Orlando; Ralph & Rose Zeigler of Merritt Island; 4 grandchildren;1 great grandson; sister Nelda McNeil of Orlando;brother, Reverend Ervin Fuhrman of British Columbia, Canada; and many nieces & nephews. Per the wishes of the family, services will be private. Marie's greatest joy was playing bingo....So, play a game in honor of her.
