Obituary
Maria D. Ramirez, 68, died unexpectedly on January, 28 2021, at her home in Daytona Beach, FL.
Maria was born May 7, 1952, in Brooklyn, NY to Luis and Digna Ramirez. Maria had a heart of gold, and would accomplish anything she set her mind to do. She made an impact everywhere she went, and with everyone she came in contact with.

She worked many years as an RN for NY Methodist Hospital as well as the VA Hospital in Albuquerque NM. She worked as travel nurse in NC before fully enjoying her retirement in September 2018.
Maria and her husband Robert enjoyed 20+ wonderful years together, loving and laughing and making countless memories together. Maria is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert, daughter, Lisa, bonus daughters, Nicole and Page, bonus son, Jeremy, grandchildren, Tai, Adriana, Elijah and Sophia, bonus grandchildren, Isabelle, Max, Miles and Cinquay, Sister in, Law Crystal, and sons in laws, Khalid and Jared.

We miss you a ton down here. We are thankful for the love you shared and the lessons you taught us. There’s a hole in our hearts here, since you left, and we’ll have to lean on each other to get through. We are all better people for having you in our lives. I can say you were truly amazing and successful in EVERY facet of your life here. I will continue to look skyward for your guidance, and as I go over possible decisions, I’ll hear your voice saying “well what do you wanna do that for” when the worst possible choice comes up. I hope I can be as good a person and a leader that you were and I’ll look through your lessons and your role in our family to try and make that happen. There are days that I feel like this is a dream, that you’ll come back, and everything as I know it will be right again. It’s a wishful hope. We love you, miss you and hope that you’ll help guide us in the right direction

Had the pleasure of spending time with Maria last year after many years. We originally met in New York through my sister in law Nancy. You will be greatly missed. May the peace of the Lord be with your family and find comfort in knowing that you are now rejoicing in the presence of our Father in Heaven.
