Obituary

Marianne Stanley Simonetti Born to life August 17th, 1943. Passed on to Heaven and Eternal Life December 12, 2015 at the age of 72. Marianne is survived by her loving husband Salvatore Simonetti. She was the loving mother of three children; Richard Hickler, Marc Hickler and Tracy Hickler and step mother to Cara Simonetti Lackner.  Marianne was also a loving grandmother to Alyssa, Hailey, Faith, Garrett and Hal. Marianne was retired but worked at GPU for many years.  She was an amazing gardener, quilter and seamstress in her retirement years.

She was an avid swimmer, canoer and beach lover.  When not in her garden she would spend many hours at the beach with all her many beach friends.

Some of her final words were that “you never know when the last time you did something will be the last time you ever do it.”

So please, for her, hug your spouse or significant other today and tell them how much you love them, as you never know when it will be the last time.

Donations to the American Cancer Society in Marianne Stanley Simonetti name would be much appreciated.

She wished to be cremated and her ashes spread on a beach here in Florida.

Sorry to say I never met Marianne, wish I had. Glad that you found her Sal and that you had many years together. Remembering a few lines from a poem (I'm Free):
"If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys, A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh yes, these things I too will miss Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full,
I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. lift up your hearts and peace to thee. God wanted me now; He set me free!

Wow, 72?!? Never would have guessed that. Our girls still hug the rabbits she sewed for them. We'll miss tromping through the forest meet up and compare gardens (although it was never a contest... her's kicked ours so easily.)

    Dearest Mom,
You have always been my hero, the light in the dark, the most loveliest bloom in all the gardens... I'm sad for the way you had to leave this world but so blessed to have shared in the glory of you.
I will carry your beauty with me always...
    Your loving daughter
