Obituary
Marie M. Casucci, beloved wife of Joseph Casucci, peacefully passed into Jesus’ arms in heaven on Sunday, August 23, 2020.
Marie was born to parents Marie and Frank Trotta on December 13, 1919, in New York during the influenza pandemic that eventually took her mother’s life, and her father died sometime afterward. Marie was raised by her grandparents, Antoinette and Joseph Rizzo.
Marie married her husband Joe, who was a U.S. Army Corporal and honorable WWII Veteran, in New York during the war. The couple met prior to the war’s outbreak, and Marie affectionately called her husband by his nickname, “Pip”, throughout their married life. She worked as a skilled Seamstress and Joe was a Painter Contractor for many years.
After Joe “Pip” died in Smithtown on November 22, 1988, Marie moved to The Villages, FL, and was a resident there from 1995 to 2009, after which she relocated to Eustis, FL.
Marie is survived by sister-in-law Anna Casucci, of Dix Hills, NY, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and New York.
Marie will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

Miss you dearly and you will always be in my heart

Love Always,
Your Devoted Niece, Christina
Last time I was with Aunt Mary❤️
I saw her 4 years ago, we reminisced about the Bronx and Arthur Avenue. It was lovely.
Aunt Mary loved her nieces and nephews so much, that was obvious. She always was happy with us. I think she just loved family.
Now, she is reunited with many of those who have gone before. She's dancing and dressed to the nines with a wide brim hat and high heels...wearing lipstick.
She's probably swimming too...she was an excellent swimmer but refused to for many years.
I wish her peace and joy with her Creator. I continue to pray for her, till we meet again. I send her my Love.
