Obituary

Marie Violet Blanchard, 78 of Casselberry died Sunday, December 9, 2012.  Marie was born March 23, 1934 in Baltic, Connecticut to the late Rose Marie and Fred Thompson.  Marie was blessed to have come from a huge family including nine siblings, six children, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and one more currently on the way.  She also had a very large extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Marie cherished life and all the people in it.  Her sense of humor was still with her right to the end.  As she said herself, she had a bit of the Irish devil in her and a mischievous twinkle in her eye.  Marie loved to laugh, love and be surrounded by people and fun.  She was a talented artist, writer and homemaker, but most of all, she was cherished by everyone that ever met her.  She will be greatly missed!  A life celebration will be held in January 2013.

Dear Mom, It has been awhile since God took you from your misery into his comforting arms! But I am a selfish chid and wanted you with me forever! You were & are the very best example of what a loving Mother should be! The best friend, who was always there for you no matter what! You lead me through life with your love!! Thank You!! Love Always, Jo

My meme... it would take more time than we are given in this life to express what a woman you were. You are the protector, the confidant, and the comedian. You are witty and charming (and maniacal when you or someone else needs a good laugh... mostly you(: ). You took the hardships in your life with a grain of salt and I wish I could say they never slowed me down either. But then, no one is as strong and resiliant as you. I will miss you always, especially when the holidays roll around I will remember meme and how she could pull everyone together no matter what. I think it was all you, everyone just needed a little Marie. And there was always plenty love to go around. I wish we could all take a page from your book of family values. I'm comforted to know when I need advice I can talk to you and you'll be there listening, just as you said," right beside us, not far away, just in another plain... its not like [you're] in saudia Arabia or something." I'm so glad to have loved you... so glad my children know you... and so glad my son has you to hold him for me until we can all be together again. With the purest and fondest love... ill be seeing you

Mom, as I walk through the journey of life,
I remember. I remember how you helped me to grow
with love, truth, and honesty. I remember how you helped me to choose the right path with values, morals, and self worth. I remember how you gave me dreams with hope and confidence. As I remember, I pray to be a mother like you, to shape my children into strong adults, full of hopes and dreams. You made me who I am today, and I will always remember you in life's passings for no one could touch my life as you have.
