Obituary
Marilyn Kay Fischer Hulley, 66, of Astor, FL, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. She passed away at Advent Waterman Hospital in Tavares, FL. Marilyn was born in Belvidere, IL, on November 7, 1953, to the late Lawrence Walter Fischer and June Marilyn Fischer. Marilyn attended Zion Lutheran Grade School in Marengo, IL, and Marengo Community High School. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Marilyn moved to Aurora, IL, to raise her family. She attended Warehouse Church in Aurora and she will be dearly missed by her Warehouse Church Family with whom she became very close. Later in life Marilyn moved to Florida and made her home in Tampa. She retired to Astor, FL, located within the Ocala National Forest. She enjoyed attending the Congregation House of Prayer in Leesburg, FL. Marilyn was very involved with her church and loved serving the Lord to help others. She spent her life working in the service industry and volunteering at church. Marilyn will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends. She had a real love for her dogs, wildlife, nature, and the tranquility of the Ocala National Park and Forest.
Marilyn loved her family and is survived by her three children, Joe Stone of Orlando, FL, Jacob and his wife Jacqueline I. Fischer of DeKalb, IL, and Sara Mulik of Tampa, FL, and her four children, Davina, Taylor, Jaden, and Claudia. Marilyn is beloved by her brother, Glenn and wife Laurie of Rhinelander, WI, and brother Douglas Fischer and wife Betty of Altamonte Springs, FL, and her sister, Jacqueline S. Fischer of Browns Summit, NC, and her daughter, Jenny, and Jenny’s children, Tyler, Seth, Brianna, and Hailey. Marilyn is survived by her Uncle Ralph Carlson of Rockford, IL, Uncle Leonard Carlson (Stephanie) of Rockford, IL, her Aunt Jeanette Morris (Spencer) of Poplar Grove, IL, and Inge Carlson of WI (wife of the late Uncle Harold Carlson). She is survived by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
After her Mom passed in 2015, she became very close with her cousin Eric Carlson. Marilyn enjoyed fellowship, talking, and texting with him. Marilyn loved her best friends Barbara and Steve Ross. They were like family to her. The family wants to thank Leslie for her kindness and friendship to Marilyn at Bayview Center in Eustis, FL, where she most recently lived. A special thank you to Dr. Baskar, Katie, Maggie, and Awilda at Bayview who were very supportive in helping Marilyn’s physical rehabilitation.

I am so deeply sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. She was an incredible person. A great laugh, a huge heart, and a profound faith in God. She was always a light in my life.
