Marilyn Kay (NEE Perry) Young Brown, 73, of Venice, FL, passed away
peacefully at her home on August 18, 2024.
Born in Middletown, Ohio on August 2, 1951, to Walter and Lella (NEE

and Lebanon, Ohio areas, where she built a rich tapestry of memories
and connections. She attended Lebanon High School and dedicated many
years to a fulfilling career at Met Life.
Marilyn’s spirit was vibrant and full of life. She cherished time
spent boating, feeling the wind in her hair and the sun on her face as
she enjoyed the open water. She also loved playing games and sharing
delicious meals with loved ones. Above all, her greatest joy was found
in the company of her grandchildren, who she loved beyond measure.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Lella Perry,
her son Skip Young, her husbands’ Lawrence Brown and Douglas Young,
her brothers Merville Perry and Phillip Perry, and her sister Bonnie
(NE Perry) Newman.
She is survived by her cherished grandchildren Josh Young, Cassandra
Young, Ashlee (Nathan) Young-Gibson, and Adessa Back, as well as her
adored great-grandsons Tucker and Gus Young. Marilyn also leaves
behind her dear sister-in-law Gail Perry and many nieces and nephews
who will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
