Obituary

Mario Burgos, 85, of Ocala, Florida passed away February 5, 2021.  He was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico to Alejandro Burgos and Maria Vazquez.  He was 1 of 9 children.  Mario came to the Ocala area 40 years ago from Bronx, New York.  He was a retired used automobile business owner and a long time member of St. Jude Catholic Church.  Mario was an avid New York Yankees fan and also enjoyed boxing, cooking, singing and listening to music.  He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Frances Burgos; children, Wilma Burgos, Marisel Burgos, Mario Javier Burgos, Charol Burgos, Luis R. Torres and Yvette Torres Lopez; grandchildren, Jovani Scavarda, Stephanie Torres, Briana Lopez, Justin Lopez, Taiana Whittingham, Noel Cadet and great grandchild, Araceli Weeks.  Visitation will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church (443 Marion Oaks Drive, Ocala) on Thursday (February 11th) from 10-11AM.  Mass will follow at 11AM and Interment at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements by Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremations 11250 SW 93rd Ct.
