Marion Carol Briggs
Marion C. Briggs of 29 Karas Trail, Palm Coast, FL went to be with our Lord and Savior on Jan 30, 2020 in the care of Stuart Meyer Hospice Center of Palm Coast, FL. She left us peacefully knowing the love of her family and friends surrounded her.
Marion was born on August 21, 1945 to Harold and Grace (Moser) Smith in Little Falls, NY. Years later Harold and Grace moved to Daytona Beach, FL where Marion chose to stay. She loved the south and all it had to offer especially the warmth, ocean, and year round flowers. Her passions were gardening and cooking for large groups of people. She will always be remembered for her homemade lasagna and fresh lemon meringue pies.
Along with her husband Howard Briggs, Marion was predeceased by her parents, grandparents, her children’s father, (Stanley Howe); siblings: Norma Jennings, Janet Kretser, Robert Thomas Paul Smith.
Marion Briggs is survived by her siblings: Harold Jr (Doris) Smith, San Antonio, TX; Bernard (Angela) Smith, N. Syracuse, NY; Clark (Sandy) Smith, Fort Plain, NY; Twila (Kevin) Coon, Danville, VA;Patrick (Tammy) Smith, Beaver Dams, NY; Lisa (David) Alford, Campbell, NY; Children: Harold (Terri) Howe, Palm Coast, FL; Dexter (Patricia) Howe, Bunnell, FL; Susan (Ken) Roache, Williston, FL; Kim (Daniel) Ward, Pine City, NY; Julienne Makowiec Wallace, Nelson, PA along with numerous nieces and nephews; Grandchildren of ‘Grandma B”: Bradley, Heather, Tabatha, Stephanie, Jonathon, Leann, Ronnie, Ashton, Emily, Adam; Great grandchilden: 10; Very dear friends: Dave (Pam) Jones, Palm Coast, FL, who were always there when needed.
Per Marion’s wishes, there was no calling hours or funeral. A small family memorial was held at her son’s home in Palm Coast. Those wishing to contribute in her memory can make contributions to Hospice or Humane Society of ones choice.
