Obituary
Marjorie Anne Thurlow (73), originally from Annapolis, Maryland, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her daughter and 5 grandchildren on February 3, 2022. Margie was born on May 20, 1948, in Sandy Spring, MD to Francis and Marjorie Hyde.
In 1967, she married her soulmate Robert, a midshipman at USNA. They had a lifetime of love and adventure, travelling many times across the USA and spending much time stationed in Hawaii. When Robert retired, they set up a law practice in New Smyrna Beach, FL and were a regular hometown fixture.
Margie was an extremely kind and generous lady who doted on her husband, children, and dogs. She was invariably positive and devoted. She was always pleasant, cheerful, and sociable. She was loyal and patriotic to the core. She played the piano beautifully and was artistic. She was known for her elegant decoration and fine taste.
Margie was predeceased by her beloved parents, spouse and sister. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and brothers. A combination memorial service is planned for Margie and Bob on their anniversary, June 7th, as Bob’s wake in 2020 was put off due to Covid.
A combine Celebration of Life Memorial Service and Memorial Gathering will be held for Robert and Marjorie on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 5pm-7pm, with service starting at 5:30pm, at Baldwin Brothers New Smyrna Beach, 1 North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169.
