Obituary

Mark Col Chappuis, 63, passed on July 31st, 2023.

Mark was born in Sharon, Connecticut on October 18th, 1959, to the late Mr. Warren Maxwell Chappuis and Mrs. Arlene Col Chappuis.

Mark graduated high school from Father Lopez in 1977 and then continued his education at South Florida, graduating in 1981 with a degree in Business.

Mark was a man with a more loving spirit than most. He loved life, family, sports, politics and genuinely picking on anyone and everyone. This man had more love, understanding and desire to help than most. If you needed to find Mark, just hop on a golf cart and drive around The Preserve at Turnbull Bay, chances are, you’d find him there either cussing his own game or talking smack about someone elses.  Mark tried his best to give off the tough exterior, but deep down, we all know how soft and truly caring he really was.

He is survived by his best friend and son, Warren William Chappuis, his 3 brothers, Mike (Chris) Chappuis of Canton, Ohio, Wayne (Ellen) Chappuis of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Scott (Sue) Chappuis of Flagler Beach, FL, as well as Anne Chappuis of Port Orange, Florida and Velma Lowe of Ormond Beach, FL, and Alise Robinson of Ormond Beach Fl.

Mark was the uncle that got you into (and usually out of) trouble for Andrew (Kelly) Chappuis of Woodstock, GA, Courtney (Ian) Withers of Richmond, KY, Benjamin (Lauren) Chappuis of Cartersville, GA, Scott Chappuis of Toledo, OH, Randall Chappuis of Orlando, FL, Maxwell (Sarah) Chappuis of Lansing MI, and Samuel Chappuis of Tampa, FL. He continued to be the great uncle that got you into “more” trouble.

Mark will be missed by many, he touched several lives during his life and we are all better for it.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in Marks memory should be sent to the National Kidney Foundation at https://kidneytribute.rallybound.org/markchappuis

Mark was the love of my life…and he saved my life by giving me a kidney. For that and his constant support, sense of humor, and his ability to light up a room, I will miss him forever and always.❤️

A one of a kind personality. It was never boring when Mark was in the room or involved in the conversation. Despite the the ribbing he would give, you knew there was a good heart and he cared for so many. Many great memories! Our hearts go out to everyone in the family and prayers for Wayne and Scott.

Mark was one of a kind. His humor, infectious smile, and ever-present opinion on any subject were his trademark characteristics. He is loved and will be greatly missed. Thanks for all the memories.
