Obituary
It is with sadness that the family of Mark Wilson Critchfield announces his passing on Thursday, Oct. 11th, 2018 after a battle with lung cancer. Mark went peacefully in his sleep, while listening to Beatles music, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Wilson Critchfield and his sister, Lisa Critchfield Chandler, both of Winter Park, FL, and also by his father, stepmother, and sister, Jack B. Critchfield, Mary, and Austi of Clearwater, FL. Mark was born June 19th, 1962 in New Castle, Pennsylvania and grew up in Florida attending Winter Park High School and Seminole Community College. After performing in the music industry for a number of years, Markʼs most recent career was working with Ronald McDonald to create meaningful educational programs for school children. It gave him great joy to entertain and bring smiles to kids and their families at Ronald McDonald House and Give Kids the World. Mark lived his passions: musically, both as an artist and connoisseur, as a devoted follower of NASA & the space program, and as a dedicated baseball fan of the Tampa Bay Rays since their inaugural game. He steadfastly followed all three with his heart and soul. Mark’s other great love was for his family. Always a loyal protector of his mother and little sisters, Mark will also be forever remembered by his aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends. A service and reception celebrating Mark’s life will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at 11:30am in the Family Life Center at First United Methodist Church Winter Park,125 N. Interlachen Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789 (407) 644-2906. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider honoring Markʼs desire to help all children be exposed to music at the earliest age possible via Todd Rundgrenʼs Spirit of Harmony Foundation (advocating the moral imperative of music education and music performance for youth). Donations can be made in Mark’s honor directly via this link: http://spiritofharmony.org/memorial/ or by mailing a check made payable to “Spirit of Harmony Foundation” to 3536 N. Wilton Avenue, Chicago, Il. 60657-1709. Our family is grateful for your friendship and loving support at this time.

My heart goes out to you both as well as Mark’s extended family. From the many trips to Disney, taking me back to get my Mickey Mouse mug to
giving me the infamous
plastic dog.... Mark was always very giving with
his time and care for others. Love and hugs to you all!
You and your family are in our prayers.

It was my honor to donate in Mark's honor to the http:/spiritofharmony.org ...what a wonderful way to make an impacting tribute to continue his love of music. I'm so very sorry I won't be able to attend his service, but I have such wonderful memories of our friendships.
