Obituary

Mark Anthony Doyle, 56, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020, while enjoying a fishing trip on the Ocean Obsession that set sail from Port Canaveral. Born in Colchester, England he was the cherished son of Patrick and Freda (Dawson) Doyle of England. Mark was the beloved husband of Sharon Lynne (Reed) Doyle for the last 20 years. He leaves a son, Shaun and his companion, Helen Bessette, a step-daughter, Hayden Bales, son-in-law, Dustin and grandson Preston. Beloved brother of Lynda Leeder and brother-in-law, Tim, Darren Doyle and sister-in-law, Louise, sister-in-law Jennifer and brother-in-law, Larry Kahoe, sister-in-law, Kathryn Hunter and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mark was an avid fisherman, a familiar face on the Orlando Princess, a hunter and sport shooter. He was a member of the Volusia County Skeet and Trap Club and a Master Mason for Brevard County Road & Bridge Department. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Services, 2400 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville, FL., 32780.  A Celebration of Life will be celebrated in the chapel at 6:30 pm.

The family has requested that all in attendance continue to be Covid-19 conscious by remaining a safe distance from others and refraining from embracing immediate family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark’s memory to benefit the Rotary Sonfisher’s Annual Kid’s Offshore Fishing Adventure through the Merritt Island Rotary Foundation, c/o Jason Hedman, 335 S Plumosa St. Suite E, Merritt Island, Fl 32952. We will use the funds for our next Kid’s fishing trip. Pastor Jarvis’ church and youth groups in the community were benefited by Mark’s help in coaching and encouraging them to fish and have fun. Sonfisher’s has fishing clubs in most Jr High and High schools in central Brevard, sharing the joy of fishing and other outdoor activities.

A Celebration of Life will be held 6:30 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Christy Park at Port Canaveral.

Rest in peace Uncle Mark. We’re still in shock that you’ve been taken too soon.

I have a favourite photo of you, so went searching for it in the album upon learning you’d passed away...it’s a black and white photo of you and your beloved Tinker as a 4 month old puppy. I remember playing with you both for hours when I was a child, which make for some of my best childhood memories.

We always looked forward to your visits back to Langham in the UK and are so sad that we never got to Florida to see you as planned.

Wishing we could be all together at this time.

You will be greatly missed by all, but your kind heart and amazing smile will be remembered always. xxx R.I.P All our love Anthony & Megan xxx

I knew Mark for almost 20 years. He was the happiest fisherman I have ever known. I don't recall him ever having a bad day. They were all good, some better, some great. I pray his last trip on the double O was a great one. Although Mark has left us, he left doing what he enjoyed. I don't know if there's anything on the other side but if there is I hope we can fish together again. Catch em up my brother.

RIP my Brother-n-law. I will truly miss you. You gave me lots of laughter, you were caring and kind, although there were many times I wanted to strangle you! You could be a little ornery at times. But I couldn't have asked for a better Brother-in-law, except for my other Brother-n-law Larry. My Sister found a gem when she found Mark, I feel privileged to have known him. You will be sorely missed, I love you Mark, RIP

God save the Queen! I mourn the loss of the Duke of Doyle, the only royalty ( well maybe) that I ever knew. For over 25 years I have fished with Mark, and still hear him in my head along with the diesel engines. I gave up fishing for the jackpot, because Mark would always seem to win it. He helped us with the Kid's fishing trips, and always was willing to help others. I never had the chance to go shooting with him, but we talked about hunting, his work on farms and country places in England, and how much he was blessed with his lovely wife. He has the best collection of stories, jokes and funny comments. He had a secret method of cutting and hooking a grunt plug which I will always wonder about. My sons all fished with him on the OO long ago, and my grandson loved it when Mark "helped him" catch a 35lb kingfish, around and around the boat they went, but in the end, the fish was gaffed!!

He claimed his outrageous dress was to allow his beloved family in England to see him on the web came when he was getting on ( or off) the boat.

He was a kind and caring man, and I will miss him. Blessings and peace to his family and all who loved him and miss him.

Mark won $827 with a 20.15 pound Red Snapper from the Rolling Red Jackpot. He also won $175 from the Bottom Fish Jackpot with a 7.4 pound Mangrove Snapper. Mark was always so great at catching fish and having a good time. Most importantly just making people smile.

I”m so sorry for your loss, you have an angel that will look over you always and protect you until you reunite. Mark you were a huge light and inspiration to many, when I met you on the boat many years ago you were so helpful and would stop fishing to help others. We would chat for hours while we fished, you helped untangle my birds-nest sometimes HAHA. Most of you you were absolutely hilarious! Until we meet again, fish hard up there Mate!
