Mark E. Hollister, 61, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and long time resident of Camillus, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 . He was born in Syracuse, New York on April 16, 1950 to Dudley D. Hollister and Elizabeth Seymour Hollister. Mark was a beloved husband and an outstanding father. Mark enjoyed boating and bass fishing on Lake Ontario. He also loved communicating with others through his ham radio. In his younger years, he entertained others with his rhythm guitar in a local Syracuse band. Mark was employed by Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation/National Grid for 34 years and retired in 2005 and was a member of the IBEW. He was a Federal Communications Commission licensed amateur radio operator and belonged to the American Radio Relay League. Mark was also a member of the Fairmount Fire Department for many years. He will forever be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father and friend. Mark is survived by his wife, Kathy A. Hollister and his five children: Scott Hollister and his wife Ashley of Syracuse, NY, Jodie Hollister Post and her husband Richard of Dallas, TX, Jeff Lanieu of Baldwinsville, NY, Sarah Lanieu-Taoulost and her husband Amine of Miami, FL and Brian Hollister and his wife Megan of Pulaski, NY and his six grandchildren: Mitchell Larson, Austin Post, Dylan Anthony, Ethan Hollister, Julia Hollister and Leif Taoulost as well as his brother Dudley Hollister and his wife Antoinette and niece, Susan Hollister, of Rochester NY. Friends and Family are invited to pay their respects to Mark, at Calling Hours, on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Foster- Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY 13142 from 3-6 PM. A Funeral Mass will be said by Father Patrick Ratigan at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 8900 NYS Rte 3, Henderson, NY 13650 on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Ellisburg Cemetery.
