Obituary
Mark Stephen McVey, 62, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Kindred Hospital Ocala from complications of Pulmonary Fibrosis. Born on June 19, 1962, in Montgomery, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Raymond “Nick” McVey, Jr., and the late Brenda Brackens McVey.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Misty Dawn and Chris Lynn; his grandson, Jayden (who was his pride and joy) all of Wilmington, North Carolina; sister, Pam McVey of Morton Grove, Illinois; sister, Stacey McVey of Ansted, West Virginia; and nephews and niece, Kyle, Nick, Bode and Bree; stepson, Travis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Mark had been a long-time employee of Swift Trucking Company, and former employee of Duke Energy. He was an avid WVU Mountaineers and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Mark loved his family and friends and stayed in contact with those he cared about. He was kindhearted and generous to a fault. Giving his last dime if he knew you needed it. His smile and laugh will be something that we will most certainly miss.
At Mark’s request, there will be no service. We ask that you remember Mark in your own special way. Mark’s family would like to thank his doctor and nursing staff at Kindred Hospital Ocala for their kindness and support in his last days.
My brother from another mother .
Enjoy heaven Mark!
I am so grateful we met up a month or so.
You will always have a place in my heart.
I am forever grateful for all you did for me and my boys over the years.
You never met a stranger.
You truly were a earthly angel.
I know you are in Heaven. It was an honor to watch you walk down that church isle and give your life to Christ years ago.
I can not say enough good words about you.
Rest in peace my dearest friend. I will see you again one day.
Love
Dawn
