Marquise “Mark” Tyrone Moore, 11, will be remembered by all who knew him. For if you knew Mark, you loved him.
Mark is survived by his mother, Barbara Moore, and his step-father Matt Thurston, as well as a little sister, Faith Hagelstein and brother, David Thurston. He was a good son and big brother. Other family members include material grandmother, Dorothy Moore; material grandfather, Daniel Moore; paternal grandmother, Tobey Mason; paternal grandfather, Dave and his wife, Janet Thurston; Aunt Dani Fourcloud, Aunt Mary Gordy, Aunt Rhonda Moore, Aunt Lucy Berg and special friend, Ward and his wife, Laura Berg.
Mark was a typical eleven year old just entering the 5th grade at Read – Patillo Elementary School. He was always on the go whether it was karate lessons or playing soccer while his imagination was vivid with his love of Star Wars, Ghostbusters and SpongeBob SquarePants. He enjoyed riding his bike spending time with family and friends. His artistic ability was amazing for an 11 year old. Mark could be found drawing lighthouses, cars, and special pictures for his Mom even if it was just saying, “I love you” to his mommy.
Remembered by his classmates as always smiling, always happy,love to help others no matter what it was, Mark was a friend to many and will be missed in the days and years to come as good friend. He had a bubbly personality, very loving, and caring with a huge heart!!
On Thursday September 19th, 2013, Mark died from injuries sustained while riding his bike.
A Celebration of Mark’s life will be held at 5:00PM, Monday, September 30, 2013 at Coronado United Methodist Church 201 South Peninsula Ave, New Smyrna Beach. Followed by a get together/dinner at 461 Corbin Park Road, New Smyrna Beach if any questions on how to get there or information call Barb Moore at (386) 847-3407.
