Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Martha J. “Martie” Danielson (Everest), the wife of Ronald Danielson Sr., who died Sunday morning, May 16, 2021.

Martie leaves behind her two children, Laura Sunosky and Ron Danielson Jr., James Sunosky son-in-law, and Angie Danielson daughter-in-law.  Martie loved all of her grandchildren and was affectionately known to them as “Queen”.  They are Audrey Danielson, Isaac Danielson, Eva Danielson, Eli Danielson, Zach Sunosky and Zoey Sunosky.  Martie also leaves behind her beloved sister Patricia Wald and brother David Everest Jr.  Martie loved her nieces Amy Oppy and Debbie Starnes and nephews David Everest III, Jamey Everest, Chris Everest and Ben Everest.  Martie had numerous, amazing friends.

Martie Danielson was born on August 6, 1945, in Youngstown, Ohio.  She married Ronald in 1970, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The majority of her life was spent in Cincinnati, Ohio, raising her family and working for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital as the Workman’s Compensation Coordinator.  Martie was a member of the St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church in Fort Myers, Florida, where she served as a Stephen Ministry Leader.

Martie was a lover of her family, friends and the beach.  Ronald and the family are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received from family, friends and St. Hilary’s Church.  A memorial service will be planned for the future.

Rest eternal grant to her, O Lord;

And let light perpetual shine upon her.

May her soul, and all the souls of the departed,

Through the mercy of God, rest in peace.”
