Martha Coalson Kirby, of Ormond Beach, died at home on November 6, 2023. She was 81 years old.

Martha was born in Marion, Virginia, to Mack and Viola Coalson. She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 40 years, Mike Kirby. After both retired from the Daytona Beach News-Journal, Martha and Mike enjoyed many rounds of golf together.

Martha is survived by several sisters, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces, and close friends.

There will be no services, in accordance with Martha’s wishes.
