We spend our lives as funeral professionals helping others get through the most awful days of their lives. And then one day we become the one who has experienced that loss. My mother was an Alzheimer's patient for the last 10 years of her life. Of course, I had everything done legally and professional to care for her, but then it didn't matter that I had been in funeral service for many many years at that time, I personally felt so lost and shocked that the day we all knew would come finally did come.
So I had to rely on my faith in God and the words of counsel I had given to others to help me get through and continue on the journey that will bring us back together some day.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
