Obituary

Mary Ann V. Burger, 66, of New Smyrna Beach died Monday, October 26, 2009 with her family by her side.   Mary Ann was born March 8, 1943 in Lorain, Ohio.  She worked for many years at The Morning Journal newspaper in Lorain as an Advertising Supervisor.  She was an avid Cleveland fan of the Browns and Indians and enjoyed camping and reading. Mary Ann has been a winter resident of New Smyrna Beach for the past 5 years.  She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, John; son, David and his wife, Carri; two granddaughters, Ashley and Kayla Burger; sister, Jane Pope and brother, Joseph Stumphauzer.  11:00 AM at Baldwin Brothers Cremation Society 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169 on October 30, 2009 (map/driving directions)

    I worked with Mary Ann in the late 60's at the Journal in Lorain. She was such a friendly person, always having a smile for everyone. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family. You are in my prayers.

    My Deepest heartfelt sympathy goes to you the family of MaryAnn. I will truly miss her. She was a dear friend, a wonderful person. I have so many good memories of her. Knowing now that she is at peace, no more sickness, no more pain brings great comfort to me.
