Mary Ellen Bennett 77 of Fort Wayne, IN, now of The Villages, FL went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2023. Mary with her twin sister were the daughters of James W. Gibson & Mary V. (Scott) Gibson born in Huntington, IN, resided in Roanoke, IN until the family moved into the Fort Wayne area. Mary attended Fort Wayne Central High School where she belonged to several clubs and played the cornet with the marching band, graduating with the Class of 1965. After graduating she married Richard Bennett and together they had two sons, they resided in Fort Wayne area until they retired in 1977 and moved to The Villages, FL. They attended The Garden Worship Center in Belleview, FL. She was employed by The Hacienda Hills Country Club where she made numerous friends. Mary is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard; sons Michael and Matthew Bennett; granddaughter Alexis; brothers Thomas and James Gibson; and sister Arvilla (Jeyyery) Hocked.
