Obituary

Mary Geraldine (Gerry) Brewer, 88, passed away in her home in The Village of Silver Lake on February 28, 2020.  She was born in Middletown, OH on February 28, 1932 to Oren Dorf and Lillie Fike Campbell.  She married Bernie Brewer, her home room Sweetheart, on June 9, 1951. After spending four years in the Navy during the Korean War they returned to Ohio and lived in Centerville, OH for 49 years.  They were snowbirds in The Villages for 19 years before becoming permanent residents.  She was a devoted, loving wife and mother.  She was very active in the Order of The Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron of her Chapter 1979.  She was Grand Page to the Worthy Grand Patron in 1980.  She enjoyed playing golf in the Villages and line danced for many years.  She was a member of the “Church @ The Springs,” The Villages Campus.  She is survived by her loving husband, Bernie Brewer of 68 years; sons, Timothy L. (Jaylene) Brewer of Ripley, West Virginia, Michael K. Brewer of Myrtle Beach, SC; granddaughters, Rebekkah L. (Mark) Brewer-Klontz, Mary Beth (Mike) Roos, Charity L. Rees and four grandchildren, Taryn and Grady Roos, Rylan Savage and Cameron Rees.  A Memorial service will be held on March 28, 2020 at 2 pm at The Church @ The Springs Village Campus. The church is located at 1601 Tracy Ave. Lady Lake, FL 32159 In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners’s Hospital in memory of Mary G. Brewer at the following address:
