Obituary
Mary Dormalie O’Dell Cipolloni (“Aunt Dorm”, “Lee”, “Little Mom”) died in peace on April 24, 2020 at the age of 93. Born September 30, 1926 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to Jesse and Geneva O’Dell. She lived with her parents, brother Patrick, and sister Romilda in Lawton, Oklahoma and completed High School. She met and fell in love with Pierino (“Chuck”) Cipolloni at a USO Dance at Ft. Sill Oklahoma. They married August 15, 1945, the day WWII ended.
They eventually moved to Florida in 1953 and Dormalie devoted her life to her children, Sandra Lyn, David Charles, Pierino III, and her husband to celebrate over 70 years of marriage. “Chuck” died in 2016 and her surviving children and their spouses supported Dormalie the remaining years of her life.
Dormalie loved Frank Sinatra music, Lucile Ball television, dancing, and socializing with her friends and extended family. She was a master baker, cook, and artist but above all the most selfless, humble, compassionate, loving, joyful, playful, astutely intuitive model of a human being. She was truly a saint of a woman.
Because of the current health situation, there will not be any services or commemorations at this time. At some point in the future, Dormalie’s children hope to arrange an opportunity to celebrate her life with family and friends. Any condolence donations should be sent to Halifax Health Hospice, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129 or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
