Mary Jo Williams passed to be with our Heavenly Father on April 26 at the Hospice in Edgewater, after a 3 year battle with cancer. She was born in Aurora IL on 11/11/62 to the late Joseph E. Hurst of Aurora IL and Helene Hurst of Edgewater. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker. Most important she followed and served our precious Lord Jesus Christ with passion and desire. She loved to preach and teach scripture and encouraged others to follow and to know that Jesus loved each one of us. Mary Jo graciously loved to sign and sing to Christian music in her church. She always had compassion and kindness for all.
Mary Jo proceeded in death, her first daughter Sarah Williams. Survivors include her first husband Steve Williams of Ormond Beach, Two sons, Steven and Mitchell, two daughters, Charity and Helene and soul mate Michael Day all of Edgewater, Sister Cindy DiNizo, brother in-law Anthony DiNizo Jr. of Ormond, brothers Jan, Ronald and Michael Vicory of Aurora IL, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 7:00 PM Tuesday May 1st at the Friendship Community Church 2108 Hibiscus Drive, Edgewater. The family will receive guests for reflection one hour prior to the service and immediately following service we will gather for celebration of Life. Donations will be accepted to help Mary Jo Williams’s children and a trust account has been opened at Wells Fargo Bank in the name of Mary Jo Williams Acct Trust.
