ALTAMONTE SPRINGS – Mary Linda Connery, known lovingly as Linda, passed away peacefully at her home in Altamonte Springs, Florida, on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024. Born Mary Linda Seabolt on Dec. 18, 1931, in Chestatee, Georgia, she was the cherished daughter of Julia Ann Wilkins and Arch Caleb Seabolt.
Linda was the devoted wife of Ronald Connery, with whom she was days away from celebrating 70 beautiful years of marriage. She is survived by Ronald, her two sons — Bruce Connery, married to Jan Connery, and their daughter, Chelsie Lucas, her husband Kenneth Lucas, and great-grandson Kenneth Lucas Jr.; and Alan Connery, married to Cindy Connery, and their daughter, Lauren Garcia, her husband Jonathan Garcia, and great-grandchildren Zephyr and Ava Garcia, and sisters Callie Copeland and Hilda Fain. Linda also leaves behind many treasured extended family members across the U.S.
Linda was one of the first women to graduate from Florida Technical University, now known as the University of Central Florida (UCF), with a degree in Education. She dedicated 23 years to teaching at Longwood Elementary School in Seminole County, where she impacted the lives of many young students. An avid reader and a talented cook, Linda took great joy in orchestrating family holiday meals for over six decades. Her recipes, crafted with love, will continue to bring the family together and keep her memory alive.
Close family members will gather privately to celebrate her life.
