Obituary

Mary Christine Long age 68 of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, died of natural cause on May 4th 2023 in the Port Orange Hospice Care Center. Mary was born on November 16th, 1954, in Newport News Virginia to parents John and Suzanna Conway.

Mary is survived by her husband James Long and her brother Mark Conway.

She is preceded in death by her father John A. Conway, Mother Suzanne J Conway and brother Lee Conway.

After high school Mary attended The University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO and Ohio University in Athens, OH. Mary spent her career working in various areas of law. Mary is a veteran of the Navy Reserve.

Mary had a great interest in Aviation, genealogy, was a NASCAR fan and a teddy bear collector.

After a private ceremony, Mary’s ashes will be scattered at sea near an area where her parent’s ashes were dropped.

Mary was a beautiful person with a loving heart and I know your hearts are broken right now but I pray that knowing Mary is at peace and no longer in any pain helps you both at this time of sorrow. Remember all the beautiful memories you both have and know that Mary is watching over you and is now in the loving hands of God.     Jim, I'm so sorry for your loss. Even though I never met Mary in person, we connected through texting and Facebook. She had a great sense of humor and caring. I'm sending prayers for peace and comfort.
