Obituary

Mary Louise (Triscuit) Ladd was taken into the arms of the Lord on Dec. 4, 2022.

Louise, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was born on Jan. 4, 1920, in Corry, Erie County, Pennsylvania.

She is survived by daughters Bonnie Aquino (Pat) of The Villages, Florida, and Sally Ladd of Silver Spring, Maryland; two grandchildren – Angela Koelsch (Bernie) of Silver Spring, Md., and Paschal Aquino III (Fabiola) of Orlando, Fla.; four great-grandchildren – Madeline and Marisa of Orlando, Fla., and Josephine and Sophia of Silver Spring, Md. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Eleanor McIntyre, formerly of Corry, Pa.

She was preceded in death by Howard Arthur Ladd, her loving husband of more than 76 years.

Louise worked at Elgin Electronics for a short time, but her working career was cut short by an automobile accident in 1966. Louise was a very talented crafter. Her hobbies included baking, flower gardening, crochet, cross stitch, and embroidery. Louise learned to knit at the age of 95. She was a perfectionist in everything she did, and that applied to each and every project she completed. Louise was a lifelong member of the Elgin United Methodist Church. She was a devoted Christian, who read her Bible every day. Louise and Howard both treasured their Elgin home of 73 years.

Memorials may be sent to The Elgin United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 4, Elgin, PA 16413.  Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-480-5959.  Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.

Louise Ladd was such a big part of my life! I can't express how much her influence and friendship has always meant to me. She and Howard are definitely a major part of why I am a strong Christian today . You never had to wonder what Louise was thinking! She would let you know if she thought you were going astray. She would help you get back on the right path and always did so with love and grace. She and Howard will always live on in my heart. I love you Louise. Until we meet again.....

It was a privilege and an honor to be their next door neighbor for many years. My daughters always enjoyed the tic tacs Louisse would pass them from the pew behind us in Church. Louisse and Howard will be dearly missed until we meet again.
