I worked with Mary on the night shift at MMH for about 7 years. She was one of my favorite people to work with. I can see how she ended up in Nursing—she was always kind and caring and had a good rapport with her patients. Like Lisa previously mentioned, she had a lot of adversity in life but she had an inner strength as well.

She told a lot of interesting stories, and between her and Caroline (RN) there was never a dull night in the CCU! She had a fun sense of humor and her favorite cartoon character was the little donkey Eeyore. It saddens me greatly to learn of her passing; she was a truly fine person.

Mary I feel had a tough life and struggled with her health but regardless she always had a warm and kind heart. She loved with all she had. She was a great nurse and a special co-worker who became a dear friend during the time we worked together. Annie, Shayla and Jordan were her absolute world. I'm thinking of each of you during this sad time. I loved how she shared her Shayla with me when Shayla was just a little girl as Shayla became my most favorite Girl Scout ever back when I ran my Daisy Troop!! Mary was a special lady who I am so glad I got to know and spend time with for just a little while and I will love her always.
