Mary M. Bonesteel, 69, of Maitland died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at her home with her family by her side.
Mary was born September 2, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of George and Elsie Measel. She graduated from the University of Michigan and was a Dental Hygienist for Robert Pellarin, DDS for over 30 years. Mary married the love of her life Don Bonesteel on July 24, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan, and they moved to Central Florida in November of 1979 to raise their family. Mary and Don recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.
Mary was known for her lovely orchids that beautifully symbolize her beauty and resiliency. She tended to them as she did her family with love and care.
Mary was always health conscious and athletic - a championship swimmer in her youth, and an avid tennis player with friends throughout her life.
Mary’s reputation as a hygienist was well known by all. Her many patients became her friends. She had a lot of patients, all who will miss her dearly.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Don; two devoted children, Robert and daughter-in-law, Kim Bonesteel of Sanford, FL and Caroline and son-in-law, Mark Williams of Houston, TX; three cherished grandchildren, Timothy, Ryan and Madelyn and siblings, Margaret Kirchner and George W. Measel.

Jeff, Richard and Momma Mary
She was deservedly proud of being a graduate of the University of Michigan. And then we would exchange fun stories about her time while living in Chicago, since both of us have spent time living there.
I don't have any doubt that Jesus has welcomed her warmly to Eternal Life. She lived her religion without any fanfare, but you knew that she was a good person. I just hope that they have decent workout facilities for Mary in heaven.
We have you and Mary in our prayers and we know that she will be your salvation also.
Love Cynthia and Bernie Dempsey
I am very sorry for your loss. I had the good fortune of being a patient of Mary's for @ 25 years. Mary always spoke very lovingly of you and, of course, the Wolverines during football season. Mary made my visits fun and educational. We share many of the same values of faith, family, and country. She will be remembered and missed.
Best regards,
Mike Bittman
