Obituary
Mary (Colley) Myers of North Port, FL, age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023 at Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte with her loving family by her side holding her hand.
Mary worked at Sam & Joe’s restaurant in Port Huron, MI for almost 40 years, many years at Party Express party store in Port Huron, MI and Wadhams Road Truck Stop in Smiths Creek, MI where she built many long-lasting friendships. In her early years, she was known as “Crazy” Mary because she did exactly what she wanted with no regard with what others thought of her! She also enjoyed reading, shopping, cooking/baking, crossword puzzles, politics, taking road trips to see family & friends, and was an avid social media user. Most importantly, was time spent with and taking care of her family and friends, even before her own needs.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of fifty-five years, Ronald Myers; three children, Linda Villerot, Ronald Myers Jr., and Michael Myers; four grandchildren and their spouses; John & Jody Villerot, Christopher Villerot, Cassandra Shreeve, & Nichole & Ryan Peterson; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, brother and their spouses, Georgi (Colley) & Jerry Kooiker, Peter & Deb (Baunoch) Colley. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Colley; her mother, Catherine (Smith) Colley; sister, Patricia (Colley) Jex; brother, Douglas Colley; great-grandchildren, Prhaze Galvan and Kyleigh Greb.
Per her wishes, her memorial services will be private.
Mary will be greatly missed for her sense of humor, candid conversations, many words of wisdom, and her heart of gold.
