Obituary
Mary Josephine (Heffernan) Paletar (74) of Palm Coast, Florida passed away peacefully on January 24, 2021, supported by family and friends. Mary Jo was born June 8, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland to Francis and Stefanie Heffernan. After graduating from Mercy High School in 1964, Mary Jo worked for the C&P Telephone Company until 1975 when she married John Paletar and became a wonderful mom of five. Mary Jo is preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Stacey Paletar.
She is survived by her husband, John, and children, Terrie Foster, Scott Paletar, Brittany Paletar, and Johnny Paletar, and devoted pet, Boo Boo. Mary Jo was the oldest of five siblings and is survived by Patricia, Dennis, Barbara, and Michael Heffernan. She was known as “Moppy” to her grandchildren.
Services will be held in Baltimore at a future date to be determined. She will be missed.

I thank God everyday that I was fortunate enough to have the greatest mother a son could ever ask for. I am proud of you and grateful to be able to call you "My Mama". I love you and I am going to miss you so much.
