Obituary
Mary Beth Pettyjohn, 80 of Winter Springs, FL received her wings to walk with the angels and be with the Lord on December 1st with her family by her side. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana she retired as a Florist for Henry’s Greenhouse in New Haven, Indiana. After retirement she and her late husband Jack moved to Florida and enjoyed taking their hot rods to car shows. She was also a Certified Water Aerobics instructor for the city of Winter Springs. Mary Beth was a talented painter and loved her flowers, traveling but more importantly she loved her family and friends dearly. Mary Beth touched so many lives here on earth with her kindness, love, and caring for others. She would light up any room with her smile, humor, and laughter.
She is survived by her daughter Lora (Ira) Johnson of Apopka, FL, son Craig (Vickie) Pettyjohn of New Haven, IN, brother David (JoAnn) Herbst of Green Valley, AZ and son-in law Jeff Scott, grandchildren Chelsea (Steven) Baker, Lindsey (Payne) Peruchietti, Craig Jr. (Faith) Pettyjohn, Brittany (Billy) Wilcox, Melanie Scott, great grandchildren, Jace & Grayson Baker, Rori & Liam Peruchietti and Jensen Wilcox.
A Celebration of Life will take place in Indiana at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Pettyjohn and daughter Rachelle Scott. Preferred memorials are to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
I had the pleasure of being a member in one of MaryBeth's first Aquatic Fitness classes, not only was she a talented fitness instructor but her animation of movement whether in face or body kept us all smiling. She was just full of everything FUN!
The sadness of saying goodbye is so heartfelt, she will be missed but have a feeling she'll be sending us sweet reminders that she's closer than we think. Sending my prayers and love to her darling family members.
Please accept my sincere sympathy in your great loss of MaryBeth. Though you don't know me we were classmates at New Haven High School. Since our class is close and meet monthly for food and fellowship you may be assured of our adoration/prayers/care,
Numbers 6:24-26 - The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
