Mary Ruth Ellis, 83, of New Smyrna Beach, died Sunday, October 20.
Mrs. Ellis was born in Hackleburg, AL and moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1943. She was a graduate of Live Oak High School.
She married her sweetheart, Bill in 1947, and they were married 66 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend and throughout her life, she served The Lord faithfully. She was a member of the Edgewater Alliance Church and a past member of the Eastern Star.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Golda Ingle and a sister.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill, three daughters, Linda Kammann (Mike) of Jacksonville, Sandy Meares (David), of New Smyrna Beach, and Lisa Solms, (Chip) of Key West, six grandchildren, Michelle Keathley, Jeremy Meares, Trey Solms, Jenna Meares, Miranda Solms and Marissa McCardel, eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, a brother, Tom Ingle (Louise), and several nieces and nephews.
Life Celebration will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach FL. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7PM. Committal will be at Edgewater New Smyrna Cemetery.
