Obituary
Mary Vice (10/24/2024 – 2/18/2022)
Our precious Mama and Moe, Mary Kelly Potts Vice, age 97, went to be with Jesus on February 18, 2022. After 25 years, she is reunited in eternal glory with her beloved sweetheart and husband of fifty years, Claude William Vice, Jr. Mary was born in Irvine, Kentucky to Mary Lynda Lynch Potts and Harrel Kelly Potts. She is predeceased by her parents, and three of her siblings, James Clay Potts, Frances Potts Wilson, and Robert (Bucky) Potts. She is survived by her younger brother, James Potts of New Smyrna.
Mary is loved and cherished by her children, Lynda and Albert Hall (Melbourne, FL), Marilyn and Lance Ledoux (Jacksonville, NC), as well as her grandchildren, Jennifer and Scott Pedrick (Melbourne, FL), Nick and Betsy Ledoux (Opelika, AL), Josh ad Ashley Hall (Cocoa, FL), Meridith and Greg Blaeford (St. Augustine, FL), Kathryn and Will Batzner (Higganum, CT), Michael and Valerie Ledoux (Boston, MA) and her 17 great grandchildren.
Mary was a member of First Baptist Church Winter Park, the Women’s Club of Winter Park, the Citrus Club, and DAR. She loved to sing, play cards, garden, and spend time loving on her family and friends. She was a true blessing to all who knew her.
Mary will be sorely missed, but we are greatly comforted by knowing she is with her Savior, and through our faith in Jesus Christ, we too will be with her again. “Yet I am always with You; You hold me by my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, and afterward You will take me into glory.” (Psalm 73:23,24)
My thoughts and prayers to your wonderful family. You will be forever in their hearts and mine as well.
Jon Svendsen
We will have the most precious memories forever of Mary and CW. For 39 years we have been next door to each other and had many shared experiences.
Our kids and grandkids all love Mary and will remember so many good times with her.
She was the kindest and most loving person always. We will miss her every day.
