Obituary

Mary S. Zerquera, 89, of Leesburg, FL passed away on September 29, 2020. She was born on October 11, 1930 in Fort Scott, KS. Mary was an Artist who used her creativity in many different mediums such as oil painting, watercolors, making jewelry, and crafting. Her most favorite form of art was oil painting Landscapes. She was a social bug who loved dancing and to entertain. She also enjoyed fishing. Mary belonged to Quota International which is a women’s club focused on the hearing impaired and disadvantaged women and children.

She was preceded in death by her sister Donna Jo Beutner and her brother William Vance Sparkman.

Mary is survived by her daughters Marsha Wright of Clermont, Karen Irizarry of Leesburg; grandchildren Shana M. Baker of Texas, Elio L. Rodriguez Jr. of Apopka; great-grandchildren Elio “Tre” L. Rodriguez III , Thomas “TJ” J. Baker, and Sonya Grace Rodriguez.

    Mary Zerquera. I am a 59 year old man. I was part of the Hialeah High Band and i met this women that so good with all of kids. She put a smaile in our faces every time we talked. We visited Spain with the Band and she was instrumental in keeping us safe and aound. Thank you Mrs Z. We all loved you. RIP.....
