MAUREEN J. HOWE OBITUARY

Maureen J. Howe, 77 of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away ahead of her time on March 4, 2020, at Opis Coquina Center in Ormond Beach, FL, after a courageous battle of COPD.

She was born on May 11, 1942, in Red Bank, New Jersey, to the late John and Mildred Crowley (Glassman).  Maureen was raised in Keyport, N.J. and graduated in 1960 from Keyport High School.  She moved to Ormond Beach in 1985 where she enjoyed the simpler things in life; basking in the sun and sand of Volusia County Beaches during the day and working in the historic King’s Cellar Restaurant and Sophie Kays Waterfall Restaurant at night. For the duration of her career, through the changing times in 1999, she followed her passion and enjoyed working as a Sales Associate at 7-Eleven in Ormond Beach, FL. During her retirement she enjoyed reading and watching Dancing with the Stars.

Maureen was preceded in death by her brothers Gerald Crowley and John D. Crowley (2016), her former spouse Daniel McDonald (2010); son Michael L. McDonald (2007);  and her former spouse Richard L. Howe (1991).

Maureen is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Kate Crowley; sister-in-law Barbara Crowley, whose husband John is deceased; her daughter, Donna Zakrzewski (McDonald), her husband Michael of Matawan, NJ and their four children, Heather, Nicholas, Jonathan and Michelle; her daughter Dawn Bolin (McDonald) and her three children Christina, Hope and Larry Bolin of Holly Hill, FL; her son Christopher L Howe, his wife Vicki and his son Anthony Howe of New Bern, NC; and her son Charles L. Howe, his wife Tina and their children, James and the late Brandon and Brianna Howe of Maryland.

Maureen wishes to spend eternity among the seas, so her ashes will be spread at a later date.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family.
