Obituary

Melvin “Mel” Tippy, 84, passed to a better place on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 surrounded by his family.   A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 3:00pm at Coronado Community United Methodist Church, New Smyrna Beach.  He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty; brother, Robert (Jean) Tippy; daughters, Debbie (Greg) Noel, Sheryl (Brain) Bell; son Robert (Valerie) Tippy; sister in law, Mildred; eight grandchildren, a niece and family, a nephew and family, cousins, along with many dear friends and neighbors will always hold Mel in their hearts and memories.  Donations in Mel’s memory may be made to Smyrna West Assisted Living Facility, 301 Milford Place, New Smyrna Beach FL or Coronado Community United Methodist Church, 201 S. Peninsula Avenue, New Smyrna Beach FL.   Life Celebration is Co-created by Baldwin Brothers Cremation Society, 1 North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach FL A Life Celebration in his honor will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 3:00pm at Coronado Community United Methodist Church.     Dear Family, I am so very sorry about the loss of your dear loved one. May the thought at Job 33:25 give you comfort in knowing that Mr. Tippy will return to the days of his youth and be able to enjoy life without the infirmities of old age. My sincere condolences to you.
