Obituary

Merle “Mickey” E. McCollor, Jr., 82, of Bingham, ME and Ocala, FL passed away on May 13, 2023, at his home in Ocala after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the oldest of six children born to Merle Sr & Methyl (Moulton) McCollor. He was raised in and attended Bingham schools. He worked in Quimby Veneer Mill until he joined the Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

In 1968, he met his wife & best friend, Rachel Price, and they were together for 55 years raising 3 children (G. Bryant McCollor of Athol, MA, Dan McCollor of Mosely, VA, and Rae McCollor of Ocala, FL) in the Bingham area.

Mickey is survived by his wife, his 3 children; sisters, Sharon Dickinson (Michael) of Ocala, FL, Claire Price of Ocala, FL, Karen Libby (Andrew) of Norridgewock, ME; brother, Mark McCollor of Bingham, ME; daughter-in-law, Hope; granddaughter, Autumn McCollor; and several nieces & nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, and sister, Joan Clark Webb.

As per Mickey’s wishes, there will be no service or gathering. He loved cats and dog, Beau. Any donations to your local animal shelter would be wonderful.
