Obituary

Merrill E. Rinfret, 75, of New Smyrna Beach died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at his home.  Mr. Rinfret was born March 13, 1933 in Exeter, NH.  He was veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict.  Mr. Rinfret was a Police Officer with the Exeter Police Department from 1956-1978 retiring as Sergeant.  He moved to this area in 1995 and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.  Merrill is survived by his loving wife, Eileen; two sons, Kent and Tod both of Exeter, NH; grandson, Nate and two sisters, Mabel Grunwald and Gail Clark.  A memorial service will take place at a later date in Exeter, NH.

    im sorry for your loss ...i just was with todd last saturday and he mentioned nothing....but i understand just losing my dad last october...we were at rits dads bday party.....my condolences..to all....joe demasky from the beech hill gang

    I always admired Merrill's incredible zest for life. I was saddened to read of his passing in the paper. Merrill had may talents especially entertaining a whole busload of stranges. My sympathy goes out to the family.

    I have known Merrill most of my life.He was a great guy and very good to me.Dad & I spent a wonderful day in Naples with him and his wife,that Dad mentioned often.He led an incredible life and oh so many cars.I also have fond memories of taking care of his pet skunk "Nibbles" Bless you all, Love, Barbara

    I am Nate Rinfret's grandmother in NH. Todd came to tell us of Merrill's passing. We are both so sorry for your loss. I called Nate in Colorado to tell him about his grandfather. My husband said, he met you when you and Merrill were shopping at Arjay's Hardware store in Exeter. Once again we are so sorry for your loss. Mr. & Mrs. Richard A.
