Michael Allen Francis, 26 of Oak Hill died accidently on Monday, January 28, 2013. Mike was born July 30, 1986 in Chardon, Ohio to Dorothy and James Francis. As a family they moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1999 from Ohio. Mike worked at Advanced Air and Heat, Edgewater. Prior to that he worked as a mechanic in the engine rebuilding business. Mike was always a mischievous, heartfelt child. He would tinker with toys and wanted to make them work if they broke. As he grew, his toys did too. To motorcycles, boats and cars. He was a skilled problem-solver who had ingenious diagnostic skills. If you couldn’t find Mike under a car you would find him on the water. He enjoyed fishing, and being on the water with friends and family. He was a one of a kind Uncle to his niece and two nephews. Mike is survived by his parents, Dorothy Raby Francis of Tampa, FL; James L. Francis of Edgewater, FL; brother, Robert J. Francis; sisters, Alicia and Abigail Francis; maternal grandmother, Charlene Raby; paternal grandparents, Donna and Robert Francis; Aunts and Uncles, Paul Francis, Candace Vieirra, George Raby, Anne Hale, Jane Sacco, Julie Barone, Laura Jones, Paul Raby, and Peggy Vitale, nephews Gavin and Grayson Francis, niece Madison Tellier, and many cousins. A life celebration will be held from 6-8PM, Thursday at the Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 1 N. Causeway, New Smyrna Beach. A funeral mass will be 1PM, Friday, February 1, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach.
